In a joint letter to members of the House of Lords, GuildHE and Universities UK have welcomed the package of amendments to the Higher Education and Research Bill announced by Jo Johnson, Universities Minister. The amendments address problems related to funding for accelerated degrees, diversity, institutional autonomy, academic standards, transparency and research and innovation.
